Inner Awakening

15:09

Through thinking we are filling our minds. We are thinking that there has to be some salvation out there...that there is something which can free us of this endless cycle of suffering. Just realizing that there is nothing which frees us of our madness is enough to let the light shine through. Words have been spoken, deeds have been undertaken, religions have been manifested, but nothing ever will lead to anything. It's just an illusion.

Together we have made the world a better place. Together we have made the world a living hell. Together we are strong. Together we are weak. The problem is that there can't be a WE in a world that is created by a ME. In every action we undertake, there is a sense of self, a sense of getting the best out of it for ourselves. This egoic mind pattern is everywhere. It can be in a child or it can be in an old man. It can be in a murderer or it can be in a holy man. It's just the form which differs.

For you this may sound disturbing and irritating, but if you go deep enough, you will see that there is some truth. Living in a state of emptiness and bliss is a very rare event. Many people are seeking it, but few ever will find it. It's because they are looking for some-thing. There can't be anything of value in the world of things. Things or forms are fleeting. They don't last for long. Every thing in this world has it's beginning and it's ending. To look for peace in things therefore is like looking for air in space. You won't find it. You'll only find despair and suffering. Don't believe me, experience it for yourself.

So if there is nothing which can give me peace and happiness, what should I do? That's easy: Just be! This is the profound truth every enlightened being has tried to teach us: There is nothing in this world you can have, because you already have everything. All the feelings of despair, worrying, suffering and so on are coming from inside you. Though the knowing of this won't give you anything, the realization of it will give you everything.

The only yet simple way of turning into the State of Being is the Now. To becoming present of this moment, just focus your awareness towards your breathing. You don't need to close your eyes or to sit in a cross-legged position to do this. Just be aware of your breath. Try to not control it. Let it happen for itself. You then may come to the realization that "you" are in fact not doing anything at all, that you are in control of nothing. You just observe it. With this observing comes a deep peace. This deep peace leads you to the eternal Truth, to the end of suffering.
